Nike introduces the Nike Lunar Control
Monday, January 12, 2015
The Nike Lunar Control was introduced Jan. 7. Nike says their athletes support this shoe because of the control it offers and the lightweight cushioning. Plus, there is an extensive line of colors to choose from.
The shoe includes the Lunarlon technology, which is a lightweight cushioning system. Also included is the Nike Flywire technology, which wraps from the midfoot to the heel for support and structure.
The Nike Power Platform stabilizes the foot on the bottom of the shoe for balance, weight transfer and control. The Power Transfer Zone works in coordination with the Power Platform for transfer throughout the swing.
What are Nike athletes saying about the Lunar Control golf shoes?
Rory McIlroy: “They feel like you can wear them all day; they’re incredibly comfortable.”
Paul Casey: “The impeccable traction with ground . . . The shoe is designed to be in contact with the ground as much as possible and that enables me to push off the ground with more control,” Casey says. “For me, it’s always incredible how Nike creates great shoes, and then improves on them in the next generation.”
Kyle Stanley: “They’re ready to wear, right out of the box,” he says. “I wouldn’t wear anything else.”
