New Balance announced the release of golf shoes on Jan. 9.

New Balance announced the launch of New Balance Golf, a footwear collection for 2014, on Thursday.

The ‘NB Golf’ has six styles for men and women in both cleated and spikeless golf shoes. New Balance says it's built with high-quality, waterproof leathers and lightweight breathable air-mesh fabrics.

The Minimus Collection, part of the spikeless models, was built based on the New Balance Minimus running shoe, allowing for comfort and movement.

The cleated models feature lightweight, flexible and supportive outsole for stability and balance in different phases of the swing. It also features the new Champ state-of-the-art One-Lok cleat system. According to New Balance, the One-Lok “simplifies the ease of cleat replacement while positioning the foot close to the ground for superior feel, traction and balance.”

Prices will range from $119.95-159.95 for women and men. They will become available this month. No date has been set.
