FootJoy starts new D.N.A. footwear category
Monday, January 12, 2015
FootJoy has introduced the new D.N.A. – DryJoys Next Advancement – footwear category.
According to FootJoy, 'the D.N.A. footwear represents the DryJoys shoes with new, cutting-edge componentry and construction methodology.'
The second-ranked player in the world, Adam Scott, has been wearing the shoes exclusively since September.
"D.N.A. is the most technologically advanced shoe FJ has ever produced and it embodies everything I am looking for in a golf shoe," Scott said. "They actually activate my feet, giving me great balance throughout my swing."
The D.N.A. has five key features. It has a 3D FoamCollar for comfort. It keeps the ankle in place to eliminate movement of the foot, which can lead to discomfort and power-reduce throughout the swing. The SnugFit Tongue is important for fit. As for the NitroThin TPU Outsole for Stability, it has been in development for years and is finally ready for its debut. It delivers the best combination of stiffness and flexibility for on-course performance. The Xtra-Thick FTF FitBed is for cushioning. The midsole was moved to the inside of the shoe, and, the FTF (Fine-Tuned Foam), a cushioning material used through the midsole is known as the FitBed. It is firmer stability around the outside of the shoe and softer in the heel for comfort. It also includes the ChromoSkin Leather System. The leather system is supple, lightweight and waterproof.
