25 years of Wyndham Cup: All-time teams

This year marks the 25th year of the Wyndham Cup, the AJGA's team match-play competition that pits the East versus the West.

Players such as Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler, Paula Creamer, Inbee Park and Cristie Kerr have all played in the event.

To celebrate the occasion, here are Golfweek's all-time Wyndham Cup teams, as selected by Brentley Romine.

WEST

BOYS

Brad Dalke (2011-13)

Buzz: Dalke will make his fourth Wyndham Cup start this year. He didn't win a match in his first appearance, but the Oklahoma commit has gone 6-0-2 in two Wyndham Cups since with all six of his victories coming in team play.

J.C. DeLeon (1997-99)

Buzz: Before going on to play three years at Oklahoma State, DeLeon went 8-4 in three Wyndham Cup appearances. He was 3-1 at the 1999 Wyndham Cup and teamed up with Jason Allred to defeat Erik Compton and Ken Lewis in a 1998 four-ball match.

Rickie Fowler (2006)

Buzz: Fowler, who would go on to star at Oklahoma State and now on the PGA Tour, competed in just one Wyndham Cup, going 2-2 while helping the West to victory. His two losses came opposite Peter Uihlein, in singles and four-ball, but he did team up with Sydnee Michaels to notch a 6-and-5 mixed four-ball win over Mu Hu and So-Hyun Park.

Cody Gribble (2006-07)

Buzz: Before playing collegiately at Texas, Gribble competed in two Wyndham Cups, compiling a 6-2 record (3-1 in each appearance). The West won both years he was on the team.

Michael Kim (2010)

Buzz: The 2013 Haskins Award winner while at Cal, Kim went 3-1 in his only Wyndham cup. He won his singles match, 2 up, over Michael Harrell while his only loss came alongside Kramer Hickok, as the duo lost, 1 down, to Nicholas Reach and Stephen Behr Jr.

Ed Loar (1994-96)

Buzz: Loar, a current PGA Tour member and college player at Oklahoma State, went undefeated in his first Wyndham Cup. He finished with a 7-4-1 overall record.

Hunter Mahan (1999)

Buzz: Mahan, who played collegiately at Oklahoma State before becoming one of the standouts on the PGA Tour, played in the 1999 Wyndham Cup and went 2-2. He beat current Oklahoma head coach Ryan Hybl, 3 and 2, in the final singles match to help the West to a narrow one-point victory.

Jonathan Moore (2001-03)

Buzz: Moore never lost a singles match in his three Wyndham Cup starts – his singles wins coming against Brendon Todd, Kevin Kisner and Colby Beckstrom – and finished with an 8-4 career record.

Jordan Spieth (2008)

Buzz: The former Texas standout and current 10th-ranked player in the world played in just one Wyndham Cup, but generated two wins and a halve with his only loss coming to T.J. Vogel in singles. The West also won by 10 points that year.

Tiger Woods (1990-93)

Buzz: Woods' 11 Wyndham Cup match victories is a boys record. The 14-time major winner went 11-3-1 in four appearances while the West won twice and lost twice with him on the team. He recorded a 3-1 singles record, too. Two of his three losses came in 1993 with Robert Floyd being on the winning end both times, including for a 2-up singles victory.

GIRLS

Amanda Blumenherst (2002-04)

Buzz: In four Wyndham Cups, Blumenherst went 9-5-2. She went 3-1 at the 2002 Wyndham Cup and was on the winning end in matches against Webb Simpson and Morgan Pressel that year.

Kellee Booth (1990-93)

Buzz: Booth went winless (0-3-1) in her first Wyndham Cup, in 1990, but went 8-1-2 in her next three appearances.

Heather Bowie (1991-93)

Buzz: Bowie went 9-2-1 in three Wyndham Cup appearances, including 3-0-1 in 1991.

Paula Creamer (2001-02, 2004)

Buzz: The Pink Panther was 8-2-2 in three career Wyndham Cup appearances. She was a combined 6-1-1 in her first two appearances, and was 3-0 all-time in singles.

Amy Lee (2012-13)

Buzz: Making her third Wyndham Cup start this year, Lee boasts a 5-1-2 career record in the event. She went 3-1 last year.

Andrea Lee (2012-13)

Buzz: Lee, who will make her third Wyndham Cup appearance this year, is 7-1 all-time in the event. She went undefeated last year.

Tiffany Lua (2006, 2008-09)

Buzz: Lua capped her Wyndham Cup career by going 3-0-1 and helping the West to victory. In three career starts, Lua went 8-1-3.

Allison Martin (2001-02)

Buzz: Martin went 7-1 in two Wyndham Cup starts and posted singles victories over Jackie Beers (2002) and Brittany Lincicome (2001).

Kristen Park (2007-11)

Buzz: Park played in five Wyndham Cups, going 10-8-1. She went 3-1 in 2008, '09 and '10.

Jane Rah (2005-09)

Buzz: Rah played in five Wyndham Cups, compiling a 14-3-3 record. She had just one loss in team play, too.

EAST

BOYS

Bud Cauley (2006-07)

Buzz: The former Alabama standout and current PGA Tour player went 6-1-1 in two Wyndham Cup appearances. He won both of his singles matches, topping Richard Lee (2006) and Cory Whitsett (2007).

Ryan Hybl (1997-99)

Buzz: The current Oklahoma men's golf coach, Hybl compiled a 6-4-2 career record in three Wyndham Cups. He went 3-0-1 to help the East to a halve at the 1998 Wyndham Cup, winning his singles match over J.C. DeLeon and teaming up with Erik Compton for a foursomes victory over Leif Olson and J.J. Wall.

Derek Jackson (1992-93)

Buzz: Jackson went undefeated at the 1992 Wyndham Cup and finished with a 6-1-2 career record.

Matt Kuchar (1994)

Buzz: Kuchar, a former Georgia Tech and current PGA Tour standout, went 3-1. He won his singles match, 2 and 1, over Kevin Muncrief.

Matthew NeSmith (2011-12)

Buzz: The current South Carolina Gamecock went 7-1 in two Wyndham Cup appearances. He won both his singles matches, against Thomas Lim (2012) and Beau Hossler (2011). The East's lone victory (2011) and lone halve (2012) since 2004 came with NeSmith on the team.

Cody Proveaux (2011-12)

Buzz: In addition to sinking the Cup-clinching putt in 2012, the current Clemson Tiger compiled a 6-1-1 in two Wyndham Cup appearances.

Patrick Reed (2006)

Buzz: A three-time PGA Tour winner, Patrick Reed went 3-1, including beating Kyle Stanley, 5 and 4, in singles.

Patrick Rodgers (2010)

Buzz: Rodgers went 3-1 in his only Wyndham Cup appearance, which included 4-and-2 and 7-and-6 victories in mixed four-ball and four-ball, respectively.

Nicholas Thompson (2000-01)

Buzz: Thompson, a current PGA Tour member, went 5-1-2 in two Wyndham Cups. He won three matches in 2000, being on the winning end of matches against Martin Flores, Kevin Na and Chez Reavie.

Peter Uihlein (2005-07)

Buzz: A former Oklahoma State and current European Tour standout, Uihlein had a 8-3-1 career record in three Wyndham Cup appearances. He went 3-0 in singles matches, including defeating Rickie Fowler, 5 and 4, in 2006 – he also beat Fowler in a four-ball match that year.

GIRLS

Beth Bauer (1993-97)

Buzz: Bauer played in five Wyndham Cups, going 13-5-2. She went 4-0 in her final Wyndham Cup, in 1997.

Karen Chung (2009-12)

Buzz: Chung went 4-0 in her first Wyndham Cup start and finished 10-4-1 in three career appearances.

Shauna Estes (1992-96)

Buzz: In five Wyndham Cup appearances, Estes went 13-4-3. She won her last five career matches, too.

Jill Gomric (1995-96)

Buzz: Gomric never lost a match in two Wyndham Cup starts, going 6-0-2 all-time at the event.

Cristie Kerr (1993-95)

Buzz: The current LPGA star never lost at the Wyndham Cup, going 7-0-5 in three starts.

Brittany Lincicome (2001-04)

Buzz: Despite going 0-2-2 in singles, Lincicome was 8-5-3 in four career Wyndham Cup appearances.

Yu Liu (2012)

Buzz: Liu, a current Duke Blue Devil, went 4-0 at the 2012 Wyndham Cup.

Inbee Park (2002, 2004)

Buzz: Park went 3-2-3 in two Wyndham Cup starts. She defeated Brittany Lang in singles at the 2002 Wyndham Cup.

Reilly Rankin (1995-97)

Buzz: Rankin won all three of her singles matches and went 8-4 in three career Wyndham Cup appearances.

Aree Wongluekiet (1999)

Buzz: One of three Wongluekiet siblings to have played in the Wyndham Cup, she went a perfect 4-0 in her only appearance, in 1999. Her brother, Chan Song, went 9-2-1 in his Wyndham Cup career.
