Adidas Golf presents final product of series of puremotion line

Adidas Golf has announced the final product of its puremotion line – "the best performing shirt adidas Golf has ever made.”

John Brenkus, host of the adidas Golf Innovations video series, says PGA Tour star Dustin Johnson worked with adidas to “develop apparel capable of moving more seamlessly with his body.” Studies show that Johnson’s body’s skin stretches more than 30% by the end of his swing.

Johnson explains the “most annoying” thing about other golf apparel is that shirts often catch during a swing. He says, “you want to have something that’s going to move with your body.”

During production, designers examined stress points. They moved the seams to accommodate wider range of motion. This shirt has higher levels of stretch fibers, that are woven together with sweat wicking to create the best performing.

“Even if your shirt is an inch or two short, it still messes up your timing,” says Johnson.
