Dustin Johnson is the man to beat at this week's FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis, Tenn., on the PGA Tour, if our experts are to be believed – with Lee Westwood and David Toms also earning multiple mentions among the expected contenders.

Here's a look at more of our senior writers' picks for the week to come at TPC Southwind:

Jim McCabe, senior writer

Favorite: Dustin Johnson

Don’t forget about: Charles Howell III

Keep an eye on: Scott Stallings

Sleeper: Ben Martin

Comments: Tough to ignore Johnson, given his win here in 2012 and a T-10 last season. … Howell played beautifully earlier this season, then hit a rough patch, but seems poised for a comeback. … Stallings was T-2 a year ago and has posted scores in the 60s six times in 10 rounds at TPC Southwind. … Martin is starting to find a little rhythm.

Jeff Rude, senior writer

Favorite: Dustin Johnson

Keep an eye on: Lee Westwood

Don't forget about: Ryan Palmer

Sleeper: David Toms

Comments: Johnson can win any week if he's on. Won at TPC Southwind in 2012 and tied for 10th last year. … Westwood is getting into a groove with his new/old swing, finishing in the top 10 regularly again; he tied for sixth at The Players. … Love the Palmer pick because he's in form and plays well in Memphis; he tied for third at Southwind in 2012 and finished fourth last year. T-5 in his last tournament, Colonial. … Toms has won in Memphis twice and finished second twice and is coming off a tie for fifth at Colonial.

Adam Schupak, senior writer

Winner: David Toms

Don't forget about: Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood

Keep an eye on: Zach Johnson, Charley Hoffman

Sleepers: Shawn Stefani, David Hearn

Comments: Past champion David Toms nearly won at Colonial and finished T-3 in sectional U.S. Open qualifying in Memphis. I think he still has a win in him at a course he likes. … Philly Mick is going to do his talking with his clubs this week. … Zach Johnson is No. 10 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, the highest-ranked player in the field, and spent time with instructor Mike Bender this week. He's primed for a good week. … Hoffman is No. 21 in the Golfweek rankings, and I remain bullish on his winning soon. … Stefani was the 54-hole leader here last year. He has impressed in satisfying his medical extension. … Hearn has made five cuts in a row and finished T-6 at The Players. He lost a playoff with Jordan Spieth and Zach Johnson at the John Deere Classic and this season is proving that was no fluke.
