The Venue: Tucked into the golf-rich outskirts of Pinehurst, N.C., Dormie Club – No. 3 among North Carolina courses on Golfweek’s Best State-by-State list – is a Bill Coore/Ben Crenshaw design that plays off the Sandhills of central North Carolina. It’s the perfect venue for the inaugural Golfweek Senior National Match Play. Lace up your shoes, because the winner of each match-play bracket, senior and super senior, won’t get there without a lot of golf.

Tournament Facts: Each player is guaranteed no fewer than three rounds, but could play as many as five. Players will be seeded before the tournament, according to their ranking. The first two days of competition consists of morning and afternoon matches to whittle the brackets down to two players each. As players are eliminated from the match-play bracket, they will enter a consolation stroke-play competition simultaneously under way at Dormie Club.

Of Note: This 1,200-point Golfweek event is also a certified WAGR international ranking tournament. (World Amateur Golf Ranking)
