Once the world's top-ranked player, Martin Kaymer is again nearing the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

The 29-year-old German, who was ranked No. 1 for eight weeks in 2011, moved from 28th to 11th after his U.S. Open victory Sunday at Pinehurst No. 2. Kaymer, who also won The Players this year, had fallen as low as 63rd this season.

Also moving up were Erik Compton and Rickie Fowler, the co-runners-up at Pinehurst. Compton climbed from 187th to 73rd while Fowler jumped 12 spots to 27th.

The top 10 remained the same aside from Jordan Spieth and Justin Rose trading spots, Spieth moving to ninth and Rose to 10th. Adam Scott remained No. 1 in the world.
