Lim cruises to Oregon Amateur Championship

Oregon sophomore Thomas Lim won the Oregon Amateur Championship on Saturday.

Thomas Lim took a 1-up lead on the third hole and never looked back, defeating Austin Landis in the 36-hole Oregon Amateur Championship, 7 and 6.

Played at the OGA Golf Course in Woodburn, Ore., Landis would win only four of the 30 holes, while Lim won eight of his holes with birdies – including on four of his final five holes.

Lim, a soon-to-be sophomore at the University of Oregon, was an All-Pac 12 All-Freshman selection in 2014, while also getting an honorable mention for overall Pac-12 honors. Lim led the team with a 71.86 scoring average, winning his opening event (the Husky Invitational) and picking up four top-10 finishes over the course of the season.
