Lehman wins Encompass Championship

Tom Lehman picked up his first victory of the season at the Champions Tour’s Encompass Championship on Sunday at North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Ill.
Lehman won by one stroke over Michael Allen and Kirk Triplett after a birdie at the par-4 18th. Lehman finished at 15-under 201 with rounds of 65-66-70 to garner his first victory since 2012.
It was Allen’s sixth top-10 finish in 12 events in 2014, while it was Triplett’s second consecutive top-three finish.
Russ Cochran shot a final-round, 8-under 64 to jump 34 spots up the leaderboard. His round consisted of five straight birdies on Nos. 12-16. The round tied the the tournament course record.
Kenny Perry, who tied for 28th at last week’s U.S. Open, finished T-6 after rounds of 71-67-68.
Next up for the Champions Tour is the Constellation Senior Players Championship at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, Pa., June 26-29 – the second major championship of the year.
