BETHESDA, Md. – You know golf is fickle. If it makes you feel better, you should know the game is that way for the world’s best players, too.

Bill Haas is the Quicken Loans National defending champion. But he’s not the same player he was a year ago. Or even a day ago.

“The game changes weekly,” Haas said. “Daily even, absolutely. You can shoot 63 and feel so good and wake up the next day and your back is stiff and you don’t feel like you can make a par.”

Completely understand that last part.
