Langer defeated Jeff Sluman in the playoff on the par-5 18th at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, Pa. Sluman had shot a bogey-free, 5-under 67 as both players finished the 72-hole event at 15-under 265.

The victory also was Langer’s third of the season.
