Greg Owen recorded his first career Web.com Tour victory, winning the United Leasing Championship Sunday at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind.
The 42-year-old Englishman closed with a 5-under 67 to finish at 9-under 279, a shot ahead of Ryan Armour and Mark Hubbard. Hubbard led by two shots after 54 holes before carding a final-round 75.
Owen began his final round with a triple bogey at the par-4 first hole and shot 1-over 37 on the front nine. He caught fire on the back nine, though, recording five birdies and an eagle. He finished his round with a bogey at the par-4 18th, but it didn't matter, as Armour and Hubbard also bogeyed their finishing hole.
The victory marks the second top 5 in four Web.com Tour starts for Owen, who has also made eight starts on the PGA Tour, recording just one top-50 finish and missing a pair of cuts.
Former Alabama standout Justin Thomas tied for fourth along with Fabian Gomez, Matt Weibring and Tony Finau. Thomas entered the week seventh on the money list.
