Fisher takes commanding lead at Tshwane Open

Ross Fisher celebrates a birdie during the third round of the Tshwane Open at Copperleaf Golf & Country Estate.

England’s Ross Fisher will take a commanding lead into the final round of the Tshwane Open.

Fisher shot 5-under 67 in the third round to take a five-shot lead into Sunday at Copperleaf Golf & Country Estate in Centurion, South Africa.

"I feel like I'm playing as good as I ever have, probably similar to when I was contending in Majors and getting myself into the Ryder Cup team,” said Fisher.

Fisher, No. 82 in in the Official World Golf Rankings, is looking for his fifth European Tour title and his first since the 2010 Irish Open.

Northern Ireland’s Michael Hoey is in second after a 69 on Saturday. He sits at 13 under on the par-72, 7,964-yard course. In a tie for third are England’s Simon Dyson and Spain’s Carlos Del Moral.
