Miami hosts Hurricane Invitational in Florida

The Miami Hurricanes host 17 teams – three of which are ranked in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings' top 50 – at the Hurricane Invitational. The tournament will be held at the par-71, 6,092-yard Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables, Fla., Monday and Tuesday.

The field includes Campbell, Daytona State, East Carolina (No. 48), Iowa, Iowa State (No. 21), James Madison, Kennesaw State, Longwood, Maryland, Mercer, Miami (No. 32), Michigan, Middle Tennessee, Northwestern (No. 18), South Florida, Texas State and Texas Tech.

Baylor took the tournament last year, but will not return to defend its title. Texas State returns after a runner-up finish last year.

Daytona State enters the tournament as the top-ranked team in junior college.
