Trump National Doral showed plenty of bite Friday at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, as windy conditions coupled with a tough course layout left just four players under par at the conclusion of the second round.

Dustin Johnson, Hunter Mahan, Matt Kuchar and Patrick Reed are all tied for the lead at 1 under.

As for Tiger Woods, the World No. 1 struggled early in wrapping up a first-round 4-over 76, but then rebounded with an afternoon 74. He's six shots back at 5 over.

Just how tough was it Friday? Consider this: no player shot a second round in the 60s.

ROUND TWO

Hole No. 9: Par 3, 200 yards

One more hole. You think Tiger's ready to get out of this wind? We think it's safe to say yes.

Off the tee: Tiger misses the green just left, but he hates it. He'll have a long birdie try coming up from the fringe.

Around the green: Tiger lags this one about 2 feet past.

On the green: After the nice lag putt from the fringe, Tiger saves par to cap a second-round 1-over 73.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 1 over (5 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Dustin Johnson drops a shot at the 13th to fall back to 3 under. He and Patrick Reed, who is in the clubhouse at 1 under, are the only two players currently under par. . . . Rory McIlroy birdies the long par-3 13th to move back to even par. McIlroy made birdie after hitting a big cut with 5-wood off the tee to within a few feet.

• • •

Hole No. 8: Par 5, 549 yards

Two more holes left for Tiger, who hasn't made worse than par in four holes, which is doing pretty well on a day like today.

Off the tee: Fairway wood here for Woods off the tee, and Tiger finds the water.

Second and third shots: After taking a drop, Tiger lands his third shot onto the front of the green. The ball has some speed on it and looks to roll right over the hole before ending up in the back rough. Tough break there, hitting the front of the green and ending up behind it – and it's not a small green, either.

Around the green: Tiger chips back onto the green.

On the green: Tiger saves par.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 1 over (5 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Hunter Mahan triple-bogeys the par-3 fourth hole after he finds the water off the tee, putting the 88th ball in the water today. Mahan drops to even par. Dustin Johnson, meanwhile, moves to 4 under after a birdie at the 12th.

• • •

Hole No. 7: Par 4, 471 yards

Somehow Tiger's performance so far doesn't seem that bad now. That's because we currently have just three players under par for the tournament.

Off the tee: Tiger goes back to the driver and finds the middle of the fairway.

Approach shot: Tiger's approach is short of the green.

Around the green: Tiger leaves his chip a few feet short.

On the green: Tiger completes the up-and-down for par.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 1 over (5 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Patrick Reed saves par from the fringe at the 17th to remain at 2 under.

• • •

Hole No. 6: Par 4, 432 yards

Tiger is now just 1 over on his second round thanks to his second back-to-back-birdie stretch.

Off the tee: Iron off the tee again and Tiger again finds the fairway.

Approach shot: Tiger sends his approach a little long, but he's on the green.

On the green: Tiger is about 25 feet away and he leaves this birdie putt about 3 feet short. He saves par, though.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 1 over (5 over for tournament)

• • •

Hole No. 5: Par 4, 421 yards

Well, it's safe to say that last birdie putt was the shot of the tournament so far for Woods.

Off the tee: With iron, Tiger finds the fairway.

Approach shot: Tiger sticks his approach to inside of 5 feet.

On the green: Tiger rattles the birdie putt home.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 1 over (5 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Hunter Mahan bogeys the 18th and he's now tied with Dustin Johnson for the lead at 3 under. Only four players are under par for the tournament right now.

• • •

Hole No. 4: Par 3, 203 yards

Make that five bogeys in 10 holes for Tiger since his two birdies to begin the second round.

Off the tee: After Adam Scott and Henrik Stenson put their tee shots in the water, Tiger lands his safely on the green, although he's a long way away from the hole.

On the green: Tiger has more than 90 feet left for birdie and he drains it. That's the first birdie at the hole today. Tiger is pumped after that one, raising both arms in the air and cracking a smile as he walks toward the hole.

Here's video of the 91-foot putt:

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 2 over (6 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Patrick Reed bogeys Nos. 13 and 14 to fall back to 2 under. Hunter Mahan now leads outright at 4 under.

• • •

Hole No. 3: Par 4, 436 yards

Since his birdies at the 10th and 11th holes, Tiger is 4 over on his second round.

Off the tee: Tiger finds the fairway at this dogleg right hole. The tee shot nearly ran through the green, though.

Approach shot: Water on the right here and Tiger finds it. Splash.

Around the green: After a drop, Tiger chips to 4 feet right of the hole.

On the green: Tiger rolls in the bogey putt.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 3 over (7 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: A bogey by Dustin Johnson at the seventh drops him back to 3 under, leaving Hunter Mahan and Patrick Reed in a share of first at 4 under.

• • •

Hole No. 2: Par 4, 448 yards

Tiger's wedge let him down on No. 1, as a two-putt was the only realistic outcome after leaving it 30 feet short. Tiger isn't sharp today, forcing himself to grind it out.

Off the tee: Driver here and overcooks it slightly, settling on the left.

Approach shot: Tiger comes up just short of the green, but should be able to putt from the fringe, about 40 feet from the hole.

On the green: Tiger hits a solid putt that settles 4 feet from the cup. He makes the par putt.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 2 over (6 over for tournament)

• • •

Hole No. 1: Par 5, 572 yards

Tiger makes the turn having bogeyed four of his final 7 holes on the back nine. He now gets to a par 5 which he should be able to take advantage of.

Off the tee: Tiger finds the fairway here, up the right side. Might be able to attack the green.

Second shot: He decides not to chance it and lays up, likely a smart decision with the winds.

Approach shot: Tiger's wedge shot comes up well short on the green, leaving 30 feet for birdie.

On the green: Tiger's first putt comes up short and left. He makes the par putt, but a missed opportunity for Tiger.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 2 over (6 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Patrick Reed (birdie at No. 10) and Dustin Johnson (birdie at No. 5) have jumped into a share of the lead at 4 under.

• • •

Hole No. 18: Par 4, 471 yards

Tiger hasn't picked up a birdie since No. 11, and outside of No. 16, really hasn't had a good chance to pick up one.

Off the tee: With water on the left, Tiger pushes his ball to the right and into the rough. Safe? Yes. Good spot to get into the green? No.

Approach shot: Tiger hits a fantastic shot that finds the putting surface, but will have about 100 feet to the hole.

On the green: Tiger's mile-long birdie putt comes up about 10 feet short. He misses the par save to the left and makes the turn at 2 over on his round.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 2 over (6 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Phil Mickelson has picked up a third consecutive double bogey after finding the water off the tee at No. 4. He is now 8 over for the tournament.

• • •

Hole No. 17: Par 4, 425 yards

Tiger Woods has moved up 12 spots on the leaderboard despite playing even-par golf thus far in the round.

Off the tee: Driver here and he seems to like it at first, but is a bit disgusted after the ball doesn't draw as much as he'd like.

Approach shot: Tiger comes up short of the green here and finds a bunker.

Around the green: Nice sand shot to about 4 feet under the hole to save par.

On the green: Tiger is a bit tentative on this putt and pays the price, picking up a bogey and is now over par on the round.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 1 over (5 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Phil Mickelson picks up a double bogey on Nos. 2 and 3 and is now 6 over for the tournament. The latest double came after his approach at No. 3 found the water after spinning off the green.

• • •

Hole No. 16: Par 4, 341 yards

That's two bogeys in three holes for Tiger, although that is a trend for the entire field with winds around 20 mph. Tiger is seven shots back of the current six-way tie for the lead.

Off the tee: Tiger takes driver here and gets after the green, and almost makes it, just carrying the water and will have a straightforward pitch to the flag in the back right.

Around the green: Not a good chip from Tiger here, hitting into the wind and leaving it nearly 40 feet short of the hole. Wind definitely stopped the momentum on that ball.

On the green: Tiger nearly drains the long birdie attempt and settles for a par. A bit disappointing after the good tee ball, but par is a solid score on this course with the conditions.

TIGER ON THE DAY: Even (4 over for tournament)

• • •

Hole No. 15: Par 3, 153 yards

Tiger has definitely played better in the second round, but has some difficult holes ahead with water in play.

Off the tee: With 8-iron, Tiger starts it too far right, it hits hard on the green and travels over the back and into the water.

Around the green: Tiger nearly chips in to save par, giving himself a tap-in bogey.

TIGER ON THE DAY: Even (4 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: There is now a six-way tie for the lead after Matt Kuchar picks up a bogey on No. 2.

• • •

Hole No. 14: Par 4, 484 yards

There will be plenty of bogeys to go around at Doral, especially with the weather. That last one might sting a bit for Tiger, but the field is not running away from him.

Off the tee: Tiger takes driver here and hammers it into the wind. Another fairway hit.

Approach shot: Tiger has 220 yards into the green and hits a nice shot that settles 35 feet right of the hole.

On the green: Tiger's birdie attempt is never on the right line, and he knocks in a 3-footer to save par. Very solid par on a difficult hole.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1 under (3 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Matt Kuchar opens his round with a birdie to move to 4 under, tied for the lead with Francesco Molinari. Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy drops a shot on the par-5 1st after finding the water on his second shot and missing a 10-footer to save par. He falls back to 1 under and three off the current pace.

• • •

Hole No. 13: Par 3, 238 yards

Tiger is being more aggressive on the greens thus far today, including that birdie miss.

Off the tee: Tiger comes up short of the green and will need to scramble for par.

Around the green: Tiger putts from off the green and sends it 6 feet past.

On the green: Tiger misses the right-to-left putt and he picks up his first bogey of the round.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1 under (3 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Francesco Molinari birdies No. 16 to move to 4 under and has the solo lead after Harris English bogeys No. 2.

• • •

Hole No. 12: Par 5, 601 yards

That's five birdies in six holes for Tiger, who seems to be learning Doral quickly after getting little practice prior to the tournament.

Off the tee: A fairway wood here and he finds the fairway again. That's 3-for-3 to start the round. No chance to get to the green on the next shot, as it is more than 300 yards into the green.

Second shot: Tiger simply lays up here, giving him a short wedge shot into the green.

Approach shot: Tiger's third shot has eyes for the hole, but runs out to about 12 feet past the hole.

On the green: Tiger's birdie putt is a bit firm and runs 3 feet past the hole. His par putt finds the lip and falls.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2 under (2 over for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Harris English birdies his opening hole to move to 4 under, while Patrick Reed picks up a double bogey on No. 3 to fall back to 2 under.

• • •

Hole No. 11: Par 4, 422 yards

Good start for Tiger, who now has four birdies over his last five holes played today (3 of 4 to end the first round).

Off the tee: Tiger takes iron off this tee and finds the fairway.

Approach shot: Another stellar approach to 6 feet.

On the green: And that's back-to-back birdies as he puts this one in the heart of the cup.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 2 under (2 over for tournament)

• • •

Hole No. 10: Par 5, 614 yards

Tiger ranked 63rd (out of 68) in putting during Round 1, so that'll need to be a focus after a dismal 4-over 76 to kick things off at Doral.

Off the tee: Tiger carries the water along the left and finds the fairway, but will have a lengthy second shot into the green, if he chooses to get after it.

Second shot: Tiger chooses not to go after it from 275 yards, laying up instead.

Approach shot: Tiger hits a nice one here, getting it inside 8 feet for a good look at birdie.

On the green: Draino. Tiger picks up a birdie to start his second round.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1 under (3 over for tournament)

• • •

ROUND ONE

Hole No, 18: Par 4, 471 yards

Four holes ago it looked like it was going to be a long day for Tiger, but now, after three straight birdies, he heads to the 18th with a chance to close his round with four straight birdies.

Off the tee: Well, so much for four straight birdies. Tiger splashes his tee ball into the water left of the fairway. Momentum killer.

Second and third shots: After the penalty stroke, Tiger can only lay up into the fairway at this tough par-4 closing hole.

Around the green: Tiger gets his fourth shot to about 12 feet away.

On the green: And Tiger saves bogey to cap a 4-over 76. He'll begin his second round in a little less than an hour.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 4-over 76

• • •

Hole No. 17: Par 4, 425 yards

Tiger Woods goes his first 14 holes without a birdie and now he has two in his last two holes.

Off the tee: Tiger finds the right fairway bunker off the tee.

Approach shot: Tiger hits his approach clean off the sand and lands it within 12 feet of the hole.

On the green: Tiger drains another birdie.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 3 over

Elsewhere on the course: Patrick Reed is now the clubhouse leader after he just wrapped up a 4-under 68.

• • •

Hole No. 16: Par 4, 341 yards

It took 15 holes, but Tiger Woods finally made a birdie. Can he add a couple more before he completes his first round? It will be tough, but his best chance is here at the 16th.

Off the tee: Tiger has the option to play it safe off the tee at this short par-4, but he opts for driver instead. He carries the water and is just short of the green.

Approach shot: Just a pitch for Woods here and he puts it to about 20 feet.

On the green: Tweet, tweet. Tiger rolls in the putt for his second straight birdie.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 4 over

Elsewhere on the course: Patrick Reed birdies the par-5 eighth, his 17th hole of the first round, to move into sole possession of the lead at 4 under.

• • •

Hole No. 15: Par 3, 153 yards

Tiger's day keeps getting worse as he now has three scores of bogey or worse in four holes since resuming his first round this morning.

Off the tee: Tiger sticks his tee shot to inside of 10 feet.

On the green: And there we have it, Tiger's first birdie of the round.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 5 over

• • •

Hole No. 14: Par 4, 484 yards

Tiger has missed all three greens in regulation today, and he's 2 over in those three holes.

Off the tee: Tiger finds his first fairway of the day.

Approach shot: Tiger's approach is a little long and right and finds the back-right greenside bunker.

Around the green: Tiger needs two shots to get out of sand, and on the second try hits a sand shot through the green for the second time in four holes. His fifth shot, a putt from the fringe, ends up inside of 3 feet.

On the green: Double bogey for Woods.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 6 over

Elsewhere on the course: Jason Dufner, Matt Kuchar, Dustin Johnson, Hunter Mahan and Francesco Molinari are all in now with 3-under 69s. They are tied with Harris English for the clubhouse lead.

• • •

Hole No. 13: Par 3, 238 yards

No storms in the forecast today, but the wind is still pretty strong, making this long par-3 a tough one.

Off the tee: Tiger is short off the tee and finds a front greenside bunker.

Around the green: Yet another shot from the sand lands inside of 5 feet.

On the green: Tiger lips out a par putt and records his second bogey in three holes today.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 4 over

• • •

Hole No. 12: Par 5, 601 yards

Not a good start for Woods, or his playing competitors for that matter – Adam Scott double bogeyed to fall back to even while Henrik Stenson made par to remain at even.

Off the tee: Tiger hits a fade with driver and the ball just rolls into the right rough.

Second and third shots: Tiger goes for the green in two, but misses left with fairway wood. He has to punch out with his third shot, and tosses his club after that one.

Around the green: Tiger's fourth finds the green, and he'll have a chance to save par.

On the green: Woods is successful with the up-and-down again, this time for par.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 3 over

Elsewhere on the course: A couple of first rounds finishing up already this morning, including 2-under 70s from Luke Donald and Miguel Angel Jimenez.

• • •

Hole No. 11: Par 4, 422 yards

Tiger will start his day at the 11th hole. Remember, he only completed 10 of his first-round holes Thursday, playing them in 2 over. As for attire, Tiger is wearing a yellow shirt, grey slacks, white shoes and a white hat.

Off the tee: Tiger hits 3-wood and finds the big fairway bunker that jets out into the fairway. He missed three fairways on Thursday, and found the sand on all three shots.

Approach shot: Tiger's approach also finds the sand.

Around the green: Tiger blasts out of the front greenside bunker, but the ball has too much on it and can't hold the green. Tiger's fourth ends up near the hole.

On the green: And Woods completes the up-and-down for bogey.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 3 over
