Auburn will host three other teams in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings' top 50 Monday and Tuesday at the Grand National's Lake Course in Opelika, Ala., with the help of a friend.
Jason Dufner sponsored the event, which will feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday on the par-72, 7,149-yard course.
"It's a privilege to host the Tiger Invitational at Grand National and I would like to thank Jason Dufner and Jay Jacobs for their commitment to the event," Auburn head coach Nick Clinard said in a release. "Jason loves Auburn and college golf and we are looking forward to him being out there Monday and Tuesday cheering on the team. The golf course is in excellent shape and we are excited about competing."
The field includes Auburn (No. 29), Auburn-B, Charleston Southern, Charlotte, Drexel, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State (No. 41), Memphis (No. 43), Mississippi State, South Alabama (No. 48), St. John's, Temple, Troy, Virginia Commonwealth and Western Carolina.
Mississippi took the tournament by seven strokes last year, beating out runner-up Memphis.
