In search of its second victory of the spring, Auburn played its two rounds Monday at the Tiger Invitational in 12-under 564.
The 30th-ranked Tigers lead by two shots over Kennesaw State, the only other team under par through two rounds at the Grand National Lake Course in Opelika, Ala. The event is sponsored by former Tigers player and PGA Tour pro Jason Dufner.
Niclas Carlsson is first individually for the Tigers at 9-under 135, one shot ahead of second-place Tomasz Anderson of Jacksonville State. The highest-ranked individual in the field, 18th-ranked J.T. Poston of Western Carolina, is among those tied for third at 5 under. Daniel Stringfellow (seventh) and Jake Mondy (ninth) are also in the top 10 for Auburn.
Auburn's spring season has been a mixed bag so far. The Tigers were sixth at the Amer Ari Invitational before winning the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, but then suffered a slight letdown with an eighth-place showing at the USF Invitational.
