TEAMS

  • 1. Duke: The Blue Devils finished 10-over 862 to beat Vanderbilt by 10 strokes at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. The team also beat out five other teams in the top 10 of the Golfweek rankings for its wire-to-wire victory in Hilton Head, S.C., on March 9.
  • 2. Xavier: No. 93 in the Golfweek rankings, the Musketeers won their second consecutive tournament at the Rio Verde Invitational on March 9. The team won the tournament by five shots at Quail Run Golf Course in Rio Verde, Ariz. Shane Crutchfield and Abby Smith both finished in the top 5.
  • 3. Fairleigh Dickinson: The Knights shot 309-319 to claim their first victory of the season at the Lonnie Barton Invitational. It was a 12-shot victory over St. Francis (Pa.) on March 11.
  • 4. Western Carolina: The team had three players – Kristin Swindell, Taylor Allison and Olivia Landino – finish in the top 10 for a victory at the UNF Intercollegiate on March 9. The Catamounts won by 11 over Daytona State.
  • 5. Alabama: The team finished ninth at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on March 9. They finished at 46-over 898, 36 shots behind the tournament-champion Blue Devils.

INDIVIDUALS

  • 1. Yu Huan Liu, Duke: The freshman bounced back from a late bogey to win the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on March 9 at Love Cover Club. Liu topped LSU’s Carolina Nistrup for her first collegiate victory on the first playoff hole. She shot rounds of 69-72-70.
  • 2. Tara Green, Montana: Green led the Grizzles to a second-place finish at the Rio Verde Invitational while winning the individual title. She shot 72-76-71 to win by two shots.
  • 3. Kelsey Hayward, Sacred Heart: Hayward won the Lonnie Barton Invitational at LPGA International’s Jones course on the first playoff hole after rounds of 75-76 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
  • 4. Tiffany Chan, Daytona State: Chan shot 70-76-72 to win the UNF Intercollegiate on March 11 at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club. The freshman from Hong Kong won by eight strokes.
  • 5. Mariah Stackhouse, Stanford: Stackhouse, No. 6 in the rankings, finished T-21 at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on March 9. She is in the running for the inaugural Annika Award.
