Fanny Cnops has earned her spot as the top golfer for Central Florida this spring, posting three top-three finishes in as many tournaments. Her nine rounds of par or better, 71.7 stroke average and win at the UCF Challenge lead the team.

Her performance on the course has helped her gain the right kind of attention, as she earned a sponsor exemption to the Symetra Tour's IOA Golf Classic at Alaqua Country Club in Longwood, Fla. The tournament, which is a half-hour drive away from the UCF campus, will be played March 28-30.

Cnops and Alabama commit Nicole Morales are the lone amateur sponsor exemptions.

β€œIt is a wonderful opportunity for Fanny to test her game against professionals and see how she stacks up,” UCF head coach Emily Marron said in a release. β€œI think she will do very well, and the most important part for her is simply the experience.”

Cnops will join UCF alumni Stephanie Connelly and Carolin Pinneger in the 144-woman field.

Up next, Cnops and the Knights will play the LSU Tiger Golf Classic March 21-23.
