Eight top-50 teams in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings will tee off at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic Friday through Sunday at the University Club in Baton Rouge, La.

No. 5 Arkansas returns to defend its title at the par-72, 6,215-yard course. Emily Tubert led the team with a medalist finish last year and will be back in the field Friday.

The field includes Arkansas (No. 5), Baylor (No. 43), Central Florida (No. 16), Denver (No. 39), Kentucky (No. 19), Louisiana-Monroe, LSU (No. 17), Missouri, Notre Dame (No. 48), Purdue, SMU (No. 45), TCU, Tulane, North Carolina-Wilmington and Texas-San Antonio.

11 – That's how many birdies Emily Tubert fired en route to an even-par finish last year. She took consistency to another level, shooting 72 in all three rounds. Tubert won the tournament by five strokes.

3 – Freshman Caroline Nistrup has found herself in the top five individually three times this season, which is the best on her team. The rookie has recorded at 71.22 stroke average in 18 rounds, shooting par or better 66 percent of the time she hits the course.

7 – The Central Florida Knights have played seven tournaments and have nabbed seven top-five finishes. The team won two in a row to start the spring – the Florida Shootout and UCF Challenge – before finishing runner-up at its most recent event, the Central District Invitational.
