Gavin Green took medalist honors in a playoff to lead New Mexico to victory at the UTSA/Lone Star Invitational Tuesday at Briggs Ranch Golf Course in San Antonio.

Green, ranked 20th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, shot 6-under 210 before defeating Sacramento State's Owen Taylor on the second playoff hole. Green's final-round, 6-under 66 was his best round of the spring while the victory was his second win of the season.

The 21st-ranked Lobos got their third victory of the season and 25th career win for head coach Glen Millican. New Mexico finished at 16-under 848, six shots better than runner-up Baylor.
