The move onto the Champions Tour has seemingly agreed with Jeff Maggert and Billy Andrade.

Maggert, who turned 50 Feb. 20, hardly seemed ruffled by the fact that he had missed the cut in each of his 2014 PGA Tour tournaments. He finished at 11 under to win the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic in his Champions Tour debut, earning a $240,000 check.

Certainly, the prize is nothing to laugh at, but it does offer a stark reminder that he’s not on the PGA Tour anymore. That’s because just last May, Maggert earned $709,333 with a share of second at The Players Championship.

Heck, only 24 players on the Champions Tour made more than $709,333 for the entire 2013 season.

One week later, Maggert will return to his former job and tee it up at the Valero Texas Open, hoping to carry the positive moment over from Mississippi.

As for Andrade, who turned 50 Jan. 25, he finished second to Maggert in just his fourth start with the older set. His $140,800 was his largest since he earned $330,000 at the 2006 Booz Allen Classic, a week after having earned $333,500 in the Barclays.

Want proof that the times surely have changed when it comes to money in the pro golf world? Andrade has earned $197,897 in his four Champions Tour starts thus far, which dwarfs the $74,950 he earned for 34 tournaments his entire rookie season, 1988.
