Pepperdine claims victory in Hawaii

Grace Na won her second consecutive Anuenue Spring Break Classic title on March 26.

Pepperdine won its third title of the season at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Maui, Hawaii, by finishing with a 6-over 870, besting Washington, No. 7 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, by nine shots.

"Everybody played really solid," Pepperdine coach Laurie Gibbs said in a release. "Everyone contributed, and obviously Grace's 11-under was a huge help. We've been making great progress this spring. We know how to win and how to close out rounds.

UC Davis finished in third place as a team at 26-over 890. San Jose State finished another nine shots back at 35 over and Mississippi rounded out the top 5 at 40 over.

Grace Na won her second consecutive title Anuenue Spring Break Classic by eight shots at The Bay Course at Kapalua. Teammate Liv Cheng also finished in the top 10 at 5 over.

UC Davis’ Betty Chen finished in second at 3 under and Washington’s Jennifer Yang placed third at 1 under.
