Bryant wins Northeast Conference Championship

Bryant placed four of its golfers in a tie for 11th or better en route to winning the Northeast Conference Men's Championship Sunday.
The Bulldogs shot a a 16-over 592 over 36 holes at LPGA International's Hills Course in Daytona Beach, Fla. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes after rains washed out the first round Friday.
Ryan Tombs led Bryant with a co-medalist finish. Tombs shot a 5-under 67 on Saturday, making five birdies and an eagle to go along with two bogeys. He fell off on Sunday, shooting a 74 and allowing Sacred Heart's Pete Ballo to tie for the lead.
Ballo shot a tournament-best 66 on Sunday, going bogey free until the final hole of the tournament. Ballo, who surged from a tie for 11th to a tie for first on Sunday, played the front nine at 5 under during the final round.
Fairleigh Dickinson (24 over), Central Connecticut State (30 over), Robert Morris (32 over) and Long Island-Brooklyn (40 over) made up the top five.
