Rhodes College led from the start en route to its first NCAA Division III Women’s Championship.

Rhodes (Memphis, Tenn.) finished at 104-over 1,256 for a 24-shot victory May 16 over defending champion Mary Hardon-Baylor at Mission Inn’s El Campeon Course in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

The Lynx were paced by freshman Jessica Zweifel, who finished third. Teammate Nikki Isaacson finished fourth.

It was the first national team title for Rhodes since the baseball team won in 1961.

Georgiana Salant of Williams College (Williamstown, Mass.) won the individual title with a 15-over 303, two shots better than McKenzie Ralston of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Belton, Texas). Salant finished fifth last year.
