For 25 years, New Balance and Susan G. Komen For The Cure have had a working relationship. Now they are teaming with a women's golf shoe, the Minimus LX.
The spikeless golf shoe was built around New Balance's popular Minimus running shoe.
For a comfortable fit, the forefoot is wider and spacious. The model features New Balance REVlite 4mm drop midsole to provide cushioning and stability.
The Minimus LX weighs 8.8 ounces and has a two-year waterproof warranty.
"Initially, spikeless shoes were made to be lower to the ground, and it will help with proper balance," said Paul Heffernan, New Balance vice president. "The lower to the ground, the more stable you are. I think that was one thing we kept in mind."
Through the partnership, 5 percent of each item sold in New Balance's Lace Up for the Cure Collection (clothing, shoes and accessories) will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Cost: $100.
