Quick poll: How many of you are betting against World No. 1 Adam Scott fresh off a PGA Tour win? Well, among our senior writers, one in three.

And if there's a good week to do such a thing, it's when the previous week's European Tour winner (Rory McIlroy) and the reigning four major champions (Jason Dufner, Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose and Bubba Watson) are in the field.

With that in mind, here are our experts' picks for the Tour's 2014 Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village.

Jim McCabe, senior writer

Favorite: Adam Scott

Don’t forget about: Brendon de Jonge

Keep an eye on: Kevin Chappell

Sleeper: Paul Casey

Comments: No problem staying with the hot hand, especially since the last time Scott visited Muirfield Village he played beautifully at the Presidents Cup. … Ditto the reason for throwing support toward de Jonge, who was a standout at the Presidents Cup. … Chappell has knocked on the door of late and seems primed to be the next first-time winner. … Casey is a gut feeling, a guy who has shown progress and appears in improving form.

Jeff Rude, senior writer

Favorite: Adam Scott

Keep an eye on: Matt Kuchar

Don't forget about: Jason Day

Sleeper: Kevin Chappell

Comments: Scott is No. 1 and riding high off of Colonial victory. … Kuchar is defending champion and top-10 machine. … Day returning to his hometown tournament after playing only four rounds since his victory at the WGC Match Play. … Chappell has good memories from runner-up finish last year.

Adam Schupak, senior writer

Winner: Justin Rose

Don't forget about: Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy

Keep an eye on: Jim Furyk, Jason Day

Sleepers: Justin Thomas, Marc Leishman

Comments: Justin Rose won The Memorial in 2010 and is always in contention at Jack's place. He's been knocking on the door lately. Time to get his first W since the U.S. Open. … Donald has been showing signs that his game is running on all cylinders again. T-3 last week at the BMW PGA. &$8230; McIlroy is coming off a win and should be a factor. … Furyk won the Memorial in 2002 and has been second twice. He's due to win. … Day practices at Muirfield Village and lives nearby. He's making his first start since the Masters and the question is how's the left thumb doing? … Leishman is hot right now (T-23, T-3, T-21 last three starts) while Thomas, who plays the Web.com Tour, has a ton of talent and a chance to show he belongs in the big leagues.
