Update No. 28: 7:29 p.m. EDT

Trey Mullinax of Alabama has a putt from inside 20 feet on the fringe at the 17th green for eagle to win the match – and he curls it in for the championship! Alabama wins its second straight NCAA Division I men's golf championship.

• • •

Update No. 27: 7:23 p.m. EDT

Oklahoma State gets on the board as Tom Lovelady concedes to Wyndham Clark, who wins 3 & 1. Clark led by as much as a 5-up margin. The score is 2-1, with Bama leading the remaining two matches: Trey Mullinax is 1 up against Ian Davis and Cory Whitsett is 2 up against Jordan Niebrugge, each with two holes to play.

• • •

Update No. 26: 7:14 p.m. EDT

Alabama's Cory Whitsett pars the 15th for his second straight win, as he's 2 up against Jordan Niebrugge.

At the 17th, though, Tom Lovelady of the Crimson Tide has driven it left into the "gunch" and the ball cannot be found; he's heading to the tee to hit another shot.

And at the 16th, Bama's Trey Mullinax halves with Ian Davis to remain 1 up with two to play. Things are lining up in the Tide's favor, but there's no doubt the Cowboys are staging a solid fight down the stretch.

• • •

Update No. 25: 7:03 p.m. EDT

At the 18th and 1 down, Oklahoma State's Zachary Olsen hits a clutch approach to 5 feet or less for a chance to extend his match to a playoff. But Robby Shelton also hits a good approach – and makes his putt to win the match, giving Alabama its second point of the three needed for its second straight championship.

• • •

Update No. 24: 6:59 p.m. EDT

Oklahoma State's Jordan Niebrugge takes iron at the short, par-4 14th but misses well left and in the "gunch" – he is able to play the ball but misses left of the left-side bunker. His third shot then finds trouble as well. Cory Whitsett, on the other hand, hits fairway wood to the fairway cut behind the green, then makes birdie as he takes his first lead of the day in the anchor match. That puts Alabama up 4-0-1, with just one point officially on the board.

• • •

Update No. 23: 6:52 p.m. EDT

A big birdie putt from Oklahoma State's Zachary Olsen keeps him alive against Robby Shelton, who will carry a 1-up lead to the 18th tee as he looks for Alabama's second point of the day.

• • •

Update No. 22: 6:44 p.m. EDT

Two big leads have narrowed on the back nine. Oklahoma State's Wyndham Clark was 5 up through 11 but has lost three straight to Tom Lovelady as the margin shrinks to 2 up. Alabama's Trey Mullinax, meanwhile, was 4 up through nine and loses three out of four to Ian Davis as the margin shrinks to 1 up.

• • •

Update No. 21: 6:41 p.m. EDT

Robby Shelton of Alabama gets his first lead of the day as he wins the 16th to go 1 up against Zachary Olsen of Oklahoma State. That moves the overall tally to 3-1-1 in favor of the defending champion Crimson Tide. Can they go back-to-back?

• • •

Update No. 20: 6:32 p.m. EDT

Alabama's Bobby Wyatt comes up aces and puts the Crimson Tide's first point on the board with a par at No. 16 as Talor Gooch four-putts for bogey, including two short misses. Gooch, Tuesday's playoff hero for Oklahoma State, won the first hole but Wyatt never trailed after his hole-in-one at No. 2 squared the match.

• • •

Update No. 19: 6:17 p.m. EDT

Alabama's Robby Shelton gets his match against Oklahoma State's Zachary Olsen to all square as he wins at No. 14. It's the second time today Shelton has erased a 2-down deficit, but he's yet to lead. That also gets the overall tally between the two schools to 2-2-1.

Crimson Tide teammate Cory Whitsett is in much the same shoes as Shelton – yet to lead, but for the second time today erasing a deficit as he wins at No. 11 to square his match with the Cowboys' Jordan Niebrugge in the day's anchor match. That gives Bama a 2-1-2 edge.

• • •

Update No. 18: 6:04 p.m. EDT

Jordan Niebrugge takes the lead for the second time in his anchor match against Cory Whitsett, giving Oklahoma State a 3-2 lead in the overall tally. Niebrugge birdies No. 10 to go 1 up – but the last time Niebrugge did so, at No. 3, Whitsett immediately won to square the match again.

Robby Shelton of Alabama wins No. 13 to narrow his deficit against Zachary Olsen to 1 down.

• • •

For the third time in the last seven holes, Alabama's Bobby Wyatt goes 2 up against Oklahoma State's Talor Gooch as Wyatt wins at No. 13.

Trey Mullinax holds the Crimson Tide's other lead, but it narrows to a 3-up advantage as the Cowboys' Ian Davis wins at No. 10 to pull a little closer.

• • •

Update No. 16: 5:52 p.m. EDT

• • •

Update No. 15: 5:40 p.m. EDT

We're loosely at the midpoint of this championship final, with the anchor match looking critical – the overall score is even at 2-2-1, with Alabama's Cory Whitsett and Oklahoma State's Jordan Niebrugge all square as they bring up the rear.

Each team has a large lead in one match: OSU's Wyndham Clark is 4 up through nine and Bama's Trey Mullinax also is 4 up through nine. And each team has a lead in a close match: The Cowboys' Zachary Olsen is 2 up through 11 while the Crimson Tide's Bobby Wyatt is 1 up through 12.
