Preseason rank: 3

Final 2013-14 Golfweek/Sagarin ranking: 2

2013-14 in review: With Alison Lee putting together a player-of-the-year caliber freshman year, the Bruins stormed through the season with four victories. A Bruin won the individual title every time UCLA teed it up in the fall (Lee accounted for two of those). The season ended with a third-place finish at NCAAs.

Notable departures: Ani Gulugian

Key returnees: Alison Lee, Erynne Lee, Bronte Law, Louise Ridderstrom

Newcomers of note: Lydia Choi, Erin Choi, Aliea Clark

Circled on fall calendar: Annika Intercollegiate

Fall outlook: The level of UCLA’s success hinges on what Alison Lee does at LPGA Q-School. If she gets her LPGA card, she won’t return to the Bruin roster. Senior Erynne Lee is a top-10 machine and will be a major factor. Law and Ridderstrom also provide support. Bottom line: To seriously contend in the postseason, UCLA needs Alison Lee.
