Henderson, Canada lead WATC through 3 rounds

The United States made a move, but team Canada still leads through three rounds of the World Amateur Team Championships at Karuizawa 72 Golf East in Japan.
Canada, led by Brooke Mackenzie Henderson, sits at 23 under, two strokes ahead of South Korea. Henderson has carded rounds of 66-69-66, turning in the low score for her team each day in the play-three-count-two format. She played a bogey-free third round, making six birdies to finish at 6-under 66.
Alison Lee and Emma Talley shot rounds of 68 for the United States, helping it move to a tie for sixth. The U.S. is at 14 under, nine back of Canada and tied with Denmark.
South Korea (21 under), Japan (17 under) Australia (16 under) and Spain (15 under) round out the top five behind Canada.
Teams will play one more round to finish out the tournament. Henderson currently leads the individual competition by two strokes, sitting at 15 under through 54 holes. Lee is tied for fourth at 10 under.
