James Hahn was in second place at the Nationwide Tour Championship and one round away from a PGA Tour card before a final-round 77 derailed his week. Outlook for 2011: Hahn worked in a pro shop, at an advertising agency and as a department-store shoe salesman before becoming a Nationwide Tour rookie in 2010. His experience as a working man may explain why Hahn is one of the tour’s most optimistic players despite suffering barely missing a PGA Tour card twice in less than 12 months. Hahn came to the final hole of the 2009 Q-School needing par to earn a PGA Tour card. He four-putted from 70 feet. He entered the 2010 Nationwide Tour Championship at No. 29 on the money list. He was in second through 54 holes, and on pace for a PGA Tour card, but a final-round 77 dashed his hopes.
