This is just an absolute joke! Shame on you Oklahoma for this if in fact you did offer him scholarship. This kid no matter how good is still 6 years removed from entering college. What if so good that he'd consider going pro before graduating from high school, then what'd you do Oklahoma? Also, as 12 year old what kind of a field did you think he'd competed against? It's not even deep or experienced enough to deemed a prodigy even if he is was standout; he didn't exactly blew the field away did he? If this kid ever comes close to wining an USGA amateur event or made cut in PGA tour event, then indeed he'd the real thing. Absolute farce this ultra eraly commitment thing; just cheap publicity and the family is just trying to be cooler than everyone else. I have a son who does have future college golf potential but had just scratched Sooners off his list as a "joke" of a school to ever consider attending.

I agree. If i was a kid considering Oklahoma I would deffinatly think twice about going there based on the Coach's actions.
