I hope no reporters show up...except the National Inquirer. That's where he belongs, along with Sanford, Edwards,et al....

What a case of bad timing. Right when the first LPGA tournament is to be televised and his worthless carcass decides to speak. Go back to Florida and stay gone. It's been nice without you

Things are still the same. Tiger cant face up to the fact that he is done in the publics eye. Small group of friends and reporters, no questions, etc.....I agree with tourdad. Hope that no one shows up, that the cameras that are there malfunction and he goes back home and does his promo shot jogging. who cares? Finchem is probably nervous about when he is coming back because he has been the cash cow. He also knows that people watch NASCAR to see the wrecks. Well, Timmy boy, here is your wreck. Lets see if the public wants to hang around and watch it.

I think he will return at Bay Hill since IMG is running the event and they also represent Woods. They will be able to control all aspects in and around the event including who does and who doesn't get press credentials.

Unless he is showing up in Phoenix, there is no reason to do this on Friday. Except for his vindictive ego. So if anyone is expecting some sort of attitudinal shift from him and some show of contrition about his arrogant behavior towards fans, sponosors, etc, they will be disappointed Friday. Unless his news is that he is coming back at Phoenix, which seems highly unlikely.

Tiger just may need to get out in front of the Divorce. Word out of Chicago Sun Times is that Elin will be filing papers in the near future. This shows real smart thinking by Elin and her Attorney Sister. She could not go through life being the laughing stock and remain in control of the IMG and Woods control freaks.
As for Tiger, he will not be changing his personal life and will expect all of us to just be interested in his Golf. Wonder what the corporations will be thinking when they are looking to sponser golf tournaments and individual professionals.

Look - Kobe Bryant was "accused" of raping a girl a few years back - publicly apologized in a written BS statement and he now is on ESPN every 4 minutes and being considered as one of the greatest Lakers of all time - sorry Magic, Kareem, West, etc.
Tiger will come out really mad (ask Stephen Ames and Rory Sabbatini how that went) and kick everyones backsides. I don't agree with anything he did - but it is NOT a matter that happened in his professional arena - only his personal world - let him and his corp of grey suited IMG clones handle it - and move on to your own world of surfing porn, gambling, drinking, going to church and then breaking all of those rules just like everyone else does. Oh, and by the way - sports stars are not role models!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiger doesn't owe the public anything and the public doesn't owe Tiger anything but the PGA tour players do. If it wasn't for Tiger, players like Ernie Els, who made the very ungracious statement that Tiger is selfish, wouldn't be making the money he does without Tiger having been in the sport.

Has anyone bothered to ask Ernie what he thinks now that we know the reason Tiger is doing this today? Everyone is so quick to rush to judgment instead of allowing the man to speak first. I agree that Alex Micelli should shut up until he knows all the facts. What an unprofessional display! GC wants to clean house, get rid of him and bring back Vince Cellini. Tiger is in the early stages of his recovery and needs more time to deal with the underlying problems that caused this mess in the first place. Good luck, Tiger!

I commend the GWAA for taking a stand!
There has been, obviously, a gap in communications between Woods and the world!
I blame IMG for that and yet they continue down that same path.
If Woods ever comes back, that's too soon.
This event seems to me to have been a result of a prescription from the therapist to come clean on the whole deal, admit transgressions and get past the denial stage...

" I " would like to see Tiger back, but as someone said if he needs more time then he should go by the numbers. I would think, and again this is just me talking here, that Tiger's work would have to go along with whatever, how long can a man not work? I'm all for Doctors, and I'm not a Doctor, but when I don't work I feel literally worthless. Work, works for me, maybe it Woods Work for others. Well I try....... I need to thank Alex Maceli if it wasn't for him I wouldn't read as much as I do now. I may not be on the same level as Mr. Maceli, but he does listen to our replies.
