VIDEO: Miguel Angel Jimenez hits a ball off the Great Wall of China!
What does “The Most Interesting Man in the World” do when he’s in China? Why, hit a golf ball off the country’s most recognizable landmark, of course.
For your enjoyment, here’s Miguel Angel Jimenez taking a swing from the Great Wall of China…
Jimenez, who is in Beijing for the European Tour’s Volvo China Open, was joined in the action by Wu Sahun, Zhang Lian-Wei and Kristoffer Broberg.
As you may recall, this isn’t the 52-year-old Spaniard’s first time in golf dealing with a wall. Six years ago at the British Open, he sailed his approach over the green at St. Andrews’ 17th hole, where his ball came up against the stone wall beyond the surface. Players can’t take relief from that wall, so Jimenez’s only way out of the predicament? A BACKWARDS RICOCHET SHOT!
Pretty. Freakin. Cool.
As we see it: the more walls Jimenez can encounter when he’s golfing, the better.
