Brentley Romine joined Golfweek in 2011 as an editorial intern before being hired full time in April 2012 as an Assistant Editor. Romine grew up in Orlando, Fla., and graduated from the University of Central Florida, where he majored in journalism, played on the water polo team and dabbled in intramural sports. Prior to joining Golfweek, Romine worked for four years as a high-school sports reporter for the Orlando Sentinel. In his spare time he enjoys line dancing, running a little pick-up basketball at the gym and playing golf at his local course, Twin Rivers Golf Club in Oviedo, Fla.
 
• Best golf shot seen live: When I made eagle from 125 yards with a pitching wedge out of St. Augustine grass about 2 feet from a screened-in porch.
• Favorite golf course: TPC Sawgrass (Players Stadium Course), Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
• Believe it or not: As a kid, I played three seasons of Babe Ruth League baseball under the Bobby Cox-like coaching of Golfweek VP/Editor Jeff Babineau.
• Dream foursome: Myself, Tim Tebow, and Olympians Michael Phelps and Shawn Johnson.
