2011 Fred Haskins Award Ceremony

Golfweek’s College Player of the Year has added another accolade. Patrick Cantlay, the top-ranked player in men’s college golf as a UCLA freshman, has been named winner of the Fred Haskins Award. The Fred Haskins Award has been awarded to the Most Outstanding Collegiate Golfer each year since 1971. Each year the Haskins Commission conducts the balloting process for Golf Writers, College Golf Coaches, College Golfers, and Past Recipients of the Haskins Award with the purpose of determining by popular vote the Most Outstanding Collegiate Golfer of the Year.
