James Blackwell, a kid phenom from upstate New York, was beating everyone imaginable in the game he fell in love with at an early age. It was in high school when his life would change forever. He injured his left hand in a car accident and thought he would never play the sport he loved again. With perseverance and strength, he got back to to playing golf full time, and earned a scholarship to Ball State University in an Muncie, Ind.
