Snedeker '100 percent healthy' entering Masters
AUGUSTA, Ga. –– Brandt Snedeker wants to make one thing clear.
“I’m 100 percent healthy, which is a nice thing,” he said. Snedeker’s health – specifically a strained intracostal muscle – has been a big topic because it interrupted his hot start to the season.
He had four top-3 finishes in five starts before his injury. He finished 2nd-2nd-1st in the last three starts before his absence. He missed his two cuts after his return, though, shooting 9 over in those four rounds.
“I was 90 percent healthy for Bay Hill probably and Houston I felt great,” Snedeker said. “And this week I’m feeling great. Just a matter of making sure the rust is completely off, which I feel it is.”
Snedeker’s best Masters finish came in his first appearance as a professional. He finished third in 2008 after starting the final round two shots behind eventual winner Trevor Immelman. Snedeker was reduced to tears in his post-round press conference.
