Bubba picks up ace in Masters practice round

Bubba Watson acknowledges the crowd after making a hole-in-one on the 16th hole during Wednesday's practice round.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Bubba Watson continues to make headlines at Augusta National, this time for a hole-in-one on the par-3 16th hole during a practice round on Wednesday.

Playing the 160-yard hole that has been aced 15 times in Masters history - including two last year (Bo Van Pelt and Adam Scott) - Watson reportedly used a 9-iron to record the ace.

According to ESPN.com, Watson says it was his third hole-in-one.

He played the morning round with Scott Piercy, who told ESPN.com that Watson "flagged it. Kind of gave it the lean, 'Go in.' . . . Arms in the air, big smile."

Watson will begin the defense of his title at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday with Ian Poulter and amateur Steven Fox.
