American quartet at top of British Seniors Amateur

A quartet of Americans – including two-time defending champion Chip Lutz – and an Italian occupy the top five positions after one round of the British Seniors Open Amateur Championship at Royal Aberdeen in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Brady Exber of Las Vegas and George Zahringer of New York are tied for first place at 2-under 69, followed by Lutz of Reading, Pa., Patrick Tallent of Vienna, Va., and Federico Lang of Italy at 1-under 70.
