Only three tournaments and 100 players remain in the season-long march toward the FedEx Cup.

And Friday and Saturday promise to have some fireworks, especially with the pairing of Tiger Woods, Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson.

Yet, only one of those guys registers on our experts' radar, with Mickelson receiving some love from our Jeff Rude.

Meanwhile, Brandt Snedeker, Jim Furyk and Rory McIlroy are all favorites by the panel this week, with Gary Woodland as an underdog to watch.

Take a look at this week's picks:

• • •

Jeff Rude, Senior Writer

Favorite: Phil Mickelson

Coming off a tie for sixth at Barclays after hot closing round. Tied for fourth last year at TPC Boston.

Wild card: Gary Woodland

Coming off tie for second at Barclays and heading to a course this week that favors long hitters.

Last week: Jason Day ($58,500); Jonas Blixt ($17,680)

Season-long total: $9,747,323

• • •

Jim McCabe, Senior Writer

Favorite: Brandt Snedeker

Probably still steaming over missed cut at The Barclays, but he remains in the thick of FedEx Cup contention, and a good week could keep him there. Has been T-5, T-3, and sixth in his last three visits to TPC Boston.

Wild card: Nick Watney

Solid effort at The Barclays (T-9) and he's made the cut in 17 consecutive FEC playoff tournaments.

Last week: Justin Rose ($528,000); John Merrick ($19,480)

Season-long total: $10,149,785

• • •

Lance Ringler, Senior Writer

Favorite: Jim Furyk

Four top-10 finishes in a row against good fields. Played well in this event on this course with five top-15 showings.

Wild card: Camilo Villegas

Made 11 of last 12 cuts and despite only one top 10 in that stretch is showing signs of regaining the form he once had.

Last week: Lee Westwood ($58,500); Charles Howell III ($44,200)

Season-long total: $12,282,676

• • •

Nick Masuda, Digital Director

Favorite: Rory McIlroy

There, I did it. Yep, the kid comes out of his season-long hiding and builds some intrigue heading into the BMW. This would be the only thing that'd overshadow the Tiger-Lefty-Scott pairing.

Wild card: Gary Woodland

The three birdie misses inside 10 feet coming in on Sunday will hurt, but he has a win and a T-2 this season. He seems to have figured it out.

Last week: Dustin Johnson (MC); Nick Watney ($208,000)

Season-long total: $10,848,974
