O'Toole closes with 66 to win Magnolia Amateur

Casey O’Toole's closing 5-under 66 Sunday lifted the recent Samford graduate to a three-stroke victory at the Magnolia Amateur.

O’Toole started the day tied for the lead with Noah West at 2-under 140, but birdied two of the first three holes and finished the 54-hole event with a 7-under 206 at Hattiesburg Country Club.

Kevin Jorden, a sophomore at Southern Mississippi, finished second at 4-under 209 after a final-round 67. LSU junior Myles Lewis, who won the 2012 Magnolia title, and Southern Miss senior Kevin Brady tied for third at 2-under 211.

West, a sophomore at Mississippi, made a pair of front-nine double bogeys and fell out of contention en route to an 8-over 79.
