Oregon won the Duck Invitational on Tuesday in Eugene, Ore., with a three-stroke margin over SMU.
The Ducks and Mustangs were the only teams under par for the tournament at Eugene Country Club, as SMU gained four strokes on Oregon in the final round but couldn't eclipse the host team's second-round lead. The Ducks finished with a 6-under total of 858 after an opening-round, 6-under 282 had set the pace for their win.
Jonathan Woo earned medalist honors to complete a sweep for the Ducks. He led the way with an 8-under 208 capped by an even-par final round. Teammate Rak Cho posted a T-4 finish at 4 under, with Zach Foushee and Tyler Parker posting T-10 finishes at even par. Bryson Dechambeau led SMU, tying Cho at 4 under, with teammate Austin Smotherman another stroke back.
Oregon, ranked No. 47 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, upset No. 19 SMU and No. 4 Washington, which finished third at 8 over. Huskies golfer Cheng-Tsung Pan, the highest-ranked player in the event at No. 10 in the Golfweek rankings, led his team by tying Smotherman at 3 under. Oregon State and Wichita State rounded out the top 5 with T-4 finishes at 11 over.
