Auburn honors Jason Dufner with his own street
Jason Dufner has won a PGA Championship. He's got more than 300,000 Twitter followers. He's the creator of "Dufnering."
And now he's got a street named after him.
Auburn honored its former player during halftime of Saturday's home football game against Georgia. Among the honors Dufner received was a street sign that read "Jason Dufner Drive."
Earlier this season, Dufner gave a pre-game speech to the Tigers' football team before its game against Texas A&M. He also appeared on "This Week in SEC Football" this week, where he talked Auburn football, the upcoming "Iron Bowl" matchup with Alabama and, of course, golf.
On the weekly television show, Dufner predicted Saturday's game against the Bulldogs to be a "really tough contest" for Auburn. He was right, as the Tiger had to score on a deflected 73-yard touchdown pass with 25 seconds left to pull out a 43-38 victory over the Bulldogs.
Dufner tweeter after the game: "As Rickey Bobby would have said, "that just happen" #dawgtears."
As for the street, it's yet to be determined when or where Jason Dufner will get to drive down Jason Dufner Drive.
