The Memphis men's team shot a 12-under-par 276 in Tuesday's final round for a come-from-behind victory at the Graeme McDowell Shoal Creek Intercollegiate.

The Tigers trailed host Alabama Birmingham by 10 shots and Mississippi by eight heading through 36 holes, but got a final-round 6-under 66 from Lars van Meijel, a 4-under 68 from junior Cory Gaylord and a 2-under 70 from senior Will Pearson en route to their first victory since the 2012 Conference USA Championship.

Memphis finished with a 22-under 842 total at Shoal Creek Country Club in Birmingham, Ala., six shots ahead of UAB, which shot a final-round 292. Florida (286) and Mississippi (299) tied for third at 7-under 857.

Van Meijel, a freshman from the Netherlands, shared medalist honors with Mississippi junior Blake Morris at 8-under 208. Pearson finished in a three-way tie for third with Georgia Southern's Will Evans and Florida's J.D. Tomlinson at 6-under 210.
