Preseason rank: 9
Final 2013-14 Golfweek/Sagarin ranking: 5
2013-14 in review: Earning a No. 3 ranking by the end of the regular season, Georgia won the NCAA San Antonio Regional by 13 shots but missed out on match play at the NCAA Championships with an 11th-place stroke-play finish. Georgia finished the season with four wins. Seniors Joey Garber, Michael Cromie and Keith Mitchell finished Nos. 5, 35 and 99 respectively in the Golfweek/Sagarin individual rankings. Garber and Cromie were first- and second-team Golfweek All-Americans.
Notable departures: Seniors Joey Garber, Michael Cromie and Keith Mitchell
Key returnees: Juniors Lee McCoy and Sepp Straka, sophomore Greyson Sigg, seniors Mookie DeMoss and Nicholas Reach
Newcomers of note: Freshman Zach Healy
Circled on the fall calendar: Carmel Cup, Aug. 29-31, Pebble Beach (Calif.) Golf Links
Fall outlook: The Bulldogs lost three key contributing seniors, but McCoy and DeMoss qualified for this year's U.S. Amateur while Sigg was Georgia's No. 5 man at last year's NCAA Championship. McCoy made the Golfweek All-American second team. They'll need to lead the way if Georgia is to win its first SEC Championship since 2010.
Coach's perspective: "The start of the season is always exciting and it's even more exciting this year because we get to do it at Pebble Beach." – head coach Chris Haack
