When darkness halted play during the second round Monday at the Sea Best Invitational, North Florida found itself ahead by two shots over Liberty, which held the first-round lead after opening with a 3-over 291 at the Players' Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

The Ospreys, ranked 79th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, are 4 over for the tournament, but 6 under for the second round. They have four players who are through 16 holes and a fifth, Austin Padova, who is through 15 holes.

Padova currently leads the individual leaderboard at 2 under. He fired an opening-round even-par 72.

Texas A&M's Ben Crancer is a shot back at 1 under, even through 16 holes in his second round. The Aggies also have another player, Greg Yates, who is tied for third at even par along with Liberty's Chase Marinell.

But Texas A&M, ranked fifth by Golfweek, is third in the team standings at 20 over, 16 shots back. Defending champion Tennessee is fourth at 27 over.

The final round of the 54-hole event will begin Tuesday after the completion of the second round.
