Florida State ended its drought at the Gator Invitational last year – winning for the first time since 1981 – and it will look to repeat that success this year amid a competitive field.

Florida will host its in-state rival, along with 12 other teams Saturday and Sunday at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla.

The field features five top-25 teams in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, including: UCF (No. 8), Alabama-Birmingham (No. 9), Vanderbilt (No. 16), Florida State (No. 21) and Arkansas (No. 24).

The remainder of the field includes: Coastal Carolina (No. 79), College of Charleston (No. 132), Florida (No. 75), Georgia Southern (No. 67), Jacksonville (No. 182), Lamar (No. 91), Liberty (No. 26), Mercer (No. 39) and North Florida (No. 51).

North Florida and Liberty opened their spring seasons by sharing the Sea Best Invitational title on Feb. 4. Four teams from that tournament will compete in Gainesville this weekend.

The top-ranked individuals playing at the tournament are Arkansas' Sebastian Cappelen (No. 19) and UAB's Wilson McDonald (No. 24).
