Julie Williams joined Golfweek in July 2009 as an assistant editor and covers women's golf. She graduated in 2009 from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., where she played four years of Division II golf. Williams grew up in Brookfield, Mo., a town of 4,000.
• Favorite golf memory: Qualifying for the national tournament, in Pensacola, Fla., after winning a team playoff at regionals
• Dream vacation: Anything in Australia
• Best golf shot seen live: A teammate once pitched out of knee-high fescue off a downhill lie over a bunker to 3 feet right in front of a camera crew
• Best 18-hole score: I once shot 66 at my home course. The stars pretty much aligned for that one.
